Cover image: A dielectric microdisk (5-μm diameter) with rough boundary can function as a high-quality microlaser cavity. The lasing mode (colored surface) is formed by interference that Ceases ray spreading attributable to scattering by the rough boundary. This phenomenon of the dynamical localization of light allows the development of microdisk lasers insensitive to fabrication imperfections. See the article by PoExecutelskiy et al. on pages 10498–10500.
